Friday Favorites

Happy Friday, friends! Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

Short and sweet this week because this week has been a doozy. The week coming off of a long break is NEVER easy and add to that some crazy weather, a sinus infection and a headache that I legit think I had for 72 hours - I'm for sure ready for the weekend.

BUT I do have a few FAVORITES including this State runner-up in the TAPPS Math competition ;) He went to Waco on Tuesday with the rest of the academic team with zero expectations of placing and ended up coming in second - how cool is that?!?!

BEST Burgers Ever!

Today I'm sharing our recipe for burger patties just in time for Spring grilling.  I've shared these a couple of times because they're simple, full of flavor and WAY BETTER than a grocery store patty.  I've been making them this way for years and always get requests for the recipe and/or to bring them when we hang out and grill with friends.

Here's what you'll need to make 16-18 burger patties
(you can easily cut this recipe in half but we're often making them for a crowd OR I'll make a bunch of patties and then freeze them (more on that in a minute) but feel free to adjust!)

- 6 lbs 80/20 ground beef
(it HAS to be 80/20.  Now is not the time for 96/4 lean beef... trust me)
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 4 eggs

What's Up Wednesday

Today I'm linking up with  Shay and  Sheaffer to talk a little bit about what's been going on around here!

I CAN NOT QUIT THESE!!!

I grabbed this big bag at Costco and we're all obsessed.  They're exactly as described.... the best bite over and over again!

Easter Basket Gift Guide: Younger Kids

If I could make a career out of creating Easter baskets for younger kids I absolutely would ;). It's one of the sweetest and most fun things and I LOVE getting to make posts like these because sharing ideas is the next best thing to actually shopping. hahaha

This pocket microscope would absolutely have been in all three of my kids easter baskets when they were younger.  Think about how much fun it would be on a walk, at the park, etc.  It's under $20 and is probably my top item on this list.

Rain boots are a toddler essential for Spring puddle splashing, creek adventuring and everyday wear. This yellow color is classic and could be passed down for younger siblings as well.  My kids all wore Hunters that lasted FOREVER but this price point can't be beat and the little handles at the top would be perfect for them putting them on by themselves.

This animal habitats around the world book comes with TONS of stickers and the illustrations are darling.

A paper roll dispenser and chunkies were staples our house for years.  We used the paper for EVERYTHING and the chunkies are some of the best art supplies we have.

These goggles are the BEST because the strap is easy to adjust and doesn't hurt their little heads when you adjust them.  They stay on easily and my kids got a new pair yearly for years.

These jammies are some of my faves and come in shirt/pant sets or the zip-ups.

Again, it wouldn't be Easter without a Jellycat and this little lamb is precious.

You KNOW I love a puzzle and this one couldn't be cuter.

This digital tic-tac-toe would be the perfect thing to toss in your bag when you're headed to a doctor's appointment or dinner.  It has great reviews as well.

Happy Tuesday and happy shopping, friends!

Easter Touches

One of my little projects over Spring Break was to get a few Easter things out and add a few little spring touches.

Friday Faves

Happy Friday, friends! Erika and I are so excited that lots of y'all are linking up with us every week.  Make sure that you're grabbing our graphic, linking back to us and sharing your own Friday Favorites post ;)

MAN! What a great week it's been.  It's been a little bit slower than we anticipated but I have so enjoyed the time at home with my kids along with the slower pace.  It's been WONDERFUL!

Last Friday night we went to Sharon's house for a crawfish boil and the only pic I took was this one of Mason with a baby ;) hahaha Sharon and Mike are so much fun and there were A TON of former students there (Sharon's boys are all older and graduated from MCA) which completely blew my mind.  Seeing my former middle-schoolers as full-fledged adults was a TRIP but seeing how many of them are still friends and still hanging out was my FAVORITE!

Three Things

Today's three things pics are all from their second birthdays - because birthday month is coming up and I've been doing all the reminiscing ;)

- OUTDOOR TRACK -

Luke finished up a great indoor track season and is LOVING outdoor.  He's running the 800 and 1600m but I think his favorite part is hanging out with his friends all day ;)

Teen Boy Easter Basket Ideas

Today I'm sharing some of my tried and true teen boy gift ideas perfect to add to an Easter basket or use for other Spring gifting.

These socks are my boys favorites.  They're a great length and they both love them.

This portable speaker is great because it can clip onto a backpack or other bag.  Perfect for the gym, travel, school, hanging out with friends, etc.

This pickle ball set would make the perfect gift for boys looking to get out and have fun with their friends.

Luke has this air couch and uses it WAY more than I ever thought he would.  He uses it at track/XC meets but would be great anywhere. It's extra great because you don't need a pump.

This foam roller set would be great if you have an athlete who you're shopping for - that large piece is something that my boys have and LOVE! You can apply a bunch of pressure (or a little) and it works SO WELL!

I don't know why they all want grip trainers but they do.  Trust.

My boys both use this bar soap and it smells great!

White crocs are a teen boy staple and if they got a pair last year it's probably time to replace that dingy dirty pair with a fresh white pair for Spring ;)

These shorts are Luke's all-time FAVORITE.  They're a great length, have zippered pockets and are super light and comfy.  They've been washed HUNDREDS of times and have held up perfectly.

See y'all tomorrow!

I had a post planned for today BUT I spent pretty much all of yesterday hanging on the couch with Griffin after an oral surgery she had in the morning.  So thankful that her pain has been manageable but she just needed her mama and I was happy to oblige!

See y'all tomorrow!

Tween Girl Easter Bakset

Today I'm sharing a quick list of Amazon finds that would be perfect for filling up a Tween girl Easter basket - and if I'm being honest I'd be absolutely fine with it if someone wanted to fill up a basket for me with any of these items ;)  (you can click on the items the image below to go directly to the linked item)

It wouldn't be Eatser without a Jellycat bunny - they're the softest and sweetest stuffed animals and I stand by the statement that you're never too old for one.

Everyone is LOVING pickleball and this set of paddles couldn't be cuter.

I LOVE Laneige products and am assured by the tween girls I know and love that they would be excited for this to be in their basket.

We have a polaroid camera and LOVE snapping pics on it and having the immediate prints.  Perfect for all the upcoming Spring occasions and summer travel.

This Owala bottle is a darling color combo.

I use these Maree eye patches multiple times and week and LOVE THEM!

We know that teen and tween girls are ALL ABOUT the self care and this package of shower steamers would be a great alternative to a bath bomb if she's more of a shower girly than a bath one.

Every girl needs a fresh pair of flip flops for Spring and these are PERFECT.

Sol de Janeiro.... need I say more ;) I do love that this set gives them a little bit of everything and would be perfect for traveling.

I taught a bunch of my 8th grade girls how to make knotted embroidery floss bracelets - they're simple and quick and don't require beads and wire and elastic - I love that they can safety pin them to their backpacks and work on them whenever and wherever.  This kit would give them everything they need to make a BUNCH!

Happy Monday, friends!

PS - Shoutout to Amazon for partnering with me on this post!

St. Patricks Day-Spiration ;)

St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner and while we don't go all out I do like to do a little something whether it's a special dinner or dessert and when my kids were younger I definitely tried to have an activity or two on deck for them.  Today I'm sharing a couple of simple ideas in case you're wanting to plan something special for Monday.
